Kawika KahiapoHONOLULU (KHNL) - Amy Hanaiali'i took four awards at the 2007 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards Wednesday night including Female Vocalist of the year, Album of the year and Hawaiian Album of the Year for "Generation Hawai'i".
Best male vocal honors went to Nathan Aweau for the second year in a row.
Kaukahi won best group of the year for their album "Life In These Islands". Kawika Kahiapo of Kaukahi was awarded the best song Hoku for the title track.
The most promising artist of the year award went to Paula Fuga for her album "Lilikoi". Former UH running back Afatia won R&b/hip-hop album of the year for his album "5:45".

Religious album of the year: "Keonemele O Kaumakapili" Kaumakapili Church Choir
This year marked the 30th anniversary of the Na Hoku Hanohano awards, which honor achievement in the Hawaii recording industry. The event was held at the Hawaii Convention Center.
