Wahine Close Out Regular Season With Sweep Of San Jose State

(San Jose, California-AP) -- Third-ranked University of Hawaii closed out regular season play last night with a 30-18, 30-19, 30-17 women's volleyball victory over San Jose State.

The Rainbow Wahine won all 13 of their Western Athletic Conference matches and were 25-1 overall. They clinched the WAC's regular season title Friday night with a five-game victory over Fresno State.

Kim Willoughby had 19 kills against San Jose State, while teammate Lily Kahumoku added 16. San Jose State dropped to 13-14 on the season and 7-6 in the WAC. The Rainbow Wahine will be in Reno, Nevada, on Friday for the start of the WAC Tournament.
