Salt Lake City-AP) -- The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team ended its near-perfect regular season Wednesday night by handing coach Dave Shoji his 800th career victory. Kim Willoughby had 18 kills and Lily Kahumoku added 14 as the Rainbow Wahine swept Utah 31-29, 30-16, 30-18 to improve to 30-1.
Their only loss came against Stanford.
Sylva Strzinkova led the Utes with ten kills. Hawaii is ranked second and Utah is ranked 24th in this week's USA Today-American Volleyball Coaches' Association poll.
Hawaii claimed the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last Sunday by winning the WAC Tournament. Selections for the national tournament are to be announced Sunday.
