(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii football Warriors edged San Diego State 41-40 Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.
Timmy Chang passed for 437 yards and led a 93-yard game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter to lead the Warriors to victory.
San Diego State's Lon Sheriff completed 31of 47 passes for 420 yards and three TD's. The Aztecs' record-setting wide receiver, J.R. Tolver, pulled in 18 passes for 283 yards and two TD's. He also completed a pass for 87 yards.
For Hawaii, Chang was 33 of 54 with three scores.
The Warriors ended the regular season with ten wins against three losses. They go on to face Tulane in the ConAgra Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Day.
The Aztecs (4-9) closed out another tough year. They've had a losing record for four consecutive seasons.
