(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii women's basketball team beat Nevada-Las Vegas 71-66 Sunday night in the championship game of the Hawaii Invitational.
Natasja Allen and Jade Abele had 17 points apiece as the Rainbow Wahine improved to 5-2. They scored 24 of their points on 31 free throws, while the Lady Rebels were 5-11 from the foul line.
Kentucky beat Long Island 72-64 in the game for third place. Allen and teammate Christen Roper were named co-tournament most valuable players. They were joined on the all-tournament team by Abele, UNLV's Constance Jinks, Jenny Pfeiffer of Kentucky and Tamika Dudley of Long Island.
