(Honolulu-AP) -- Ninth-ranked Texas Tech beat the University of Hawaii 67-40 Saturday in the championship game of the Paradise Classic women's basketball tournament. The Red Raiders shot 44 percent for the game while holding to Rainbow Wahine to just 22 percent.
The 27-point loss was the Rainbow Wahine's largest margin of defeat this year, and their 40-point output was the lowest of the season.
Christen Roper led Hawaii with 13 points and nine rebounds as the Rainbow Wahine dropped to 6-3. Texas Tech improved to 7-1.
