Football Fans Looking To Next Season

(Honolulu-AP) -- With the University of Hawaii's loss to Tulane in Wednesday's Hawaii Bowl game, football fans are looking to next year. UH will open the 2003 season against Akron on August 30th at Aloha Stadium.

The schedule then continues with games at Southern California on September 13th and Nevada-Las Vegas on September 20th. Hawaii opens Western Athletic Conference play hosting Rice on September 27th.

They alternate road and home games throughout the WAC schedule with games at Tulsa October 4th, at home against Fresno State on October 11th, at Louisiana Tech on October 18th, Texas-El Paso at home on October 25th, at San Jose State on November 1st, at home against Boise State on November 8th and at Nevada on November 15th.

Hawaii finishes with nonconference games at home against Army on November 22nd and Alabama on November 29th.
