Warriors Drop Road Game To Boise State

(Boise, Idaho-AP) -- Hawaii's six-game winning streak came to an end today as the Rainbow Warriors fell to Boise State in overtime 65-63. Jason Carter put Hawaii up 63-62 with 38 seconds left in the overtime period, but Boise State's Bryan Defares hit a layup and Kenny Gainous added a free throw with four seconds left to seal the victory.

The Rainbows seemed to have the game under control with 1:34 left in regulation play when Tony Akpan hit four straight free throws to put the team up 55-48. But Boise State's Aaron Haynes countered with a three-point field goal and Jason Ellis hit two free throws to bring Boise State to within two with one minute left.

Hawaii fell to 8-2 and 1-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Boise State improved to 8-4 and 2-0 in the WAC.
