(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii men's basketball team beat Louisiana Tech 57-53 Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Carl English scored 21 of his 25 points in the second half for Hawaii.
The Rainbow Warriors improved to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in the Western Athletic Conference, moving into second place one game behind Fresno State.
They finished only 18-46 from the field, but the Bulldogs didn't help their cause, going 22-67. Louisiana Tech is now 5-5 and 2-1.
Phil Martin kept Hawaii in the game in the first half with 14 of his 19 points, including the last eleven that gave the Warriors a 24-21 halftime lead. He was 6-9 while the rest of the team was 2-14.
The win extended Hawaii's home court winning streak to 21.
