(Honolulu-AP) -- After dropping the first two games, Number Eleven Stanford came back to upset top-ranked University of Hawaii in men's volleyball action Friday night. The Warriors won the first two games 28-30, 25-30 before the Cardinal rallied to take the final three 30-27, 30-27, 15-8.
Costas Theocharidis had 31 kills and Pedro Azenha added 25 as Hawaii lost its first match of the season, falling to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Curt Toppel had 26 kills to lead Stanford, which improved to 3-5 and 1-3.
The Warriors downed the Cardinal in four games Wednesday night.
