Half Of UH football Recruits Are From Hawaii

(Honolulu-AP) -- Eleven of 22 football players recruited by the University of Hawaii are from the islands. Four come from Kahuku High -- Quin Ah You, Viliami Nauahi, George Perry and Tu Tui. And three come from state champion St. Louis School -- Jeremy Inferrera, Timo Paepule and Jason Rivers.

The other island recruits are Xavier Hoolulu of Kailua High, Michael Lafaele of Farrington High, Daniel Tautofi of Kaimuki High and Reggie Maldonado, who is transferring from Saddleback Community College in California.

Another recruit is Ray Bass of Centennial High School in California -- the brother of Warriors running back Mike Bass. And there's also Jack Rolovich of San Marin High School in California -- the brother of former UH quarterback Nick Rolovich.
