UH Receiver Suspended After Arrest

(Honolulu-AP) -- A University of Hawaii receiver has been suspended from the team indefinitely following his theft arrest. Police say 18-year-old Sean Stennis was arrested Monday night near the university and charged with third-degree theft, a misdemeanor.

Athletic director Herman Frazier says, "the arrest is a violation under the UH student-athlete code of conduct. The penalty is immediate suspension from practice and competition."

Stennis, of Inglewood, California, is a 153-pound, 5'11" redshirt freshman who was awarded a scholarship last month. Frazier says the suspension will remain in place until a full internal investigation is complete.
