(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii defeated Hawaii Pacific University 9-3 in baseball action Wednesday night. Andrew Sansaver and Daniel Magana drove in two runs apiece as the Rainbows improved to 8-3.
The 'Bows opened the scoring in the second inning with Sansaver, Jaziel Mendoza and Brent Cook driving in a run each. The 4-9 Sea Warriors scored a run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 3-1. But Hawaii padded its lead with another run in the fifth, three in the sixth and two more in the seventh. The Rainbows host Hawaii-Hilo on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
