Baseball Bows Defeat San Francisco

(San Francisco-AP) -- Joshua Green hit his first homer of the season Wednesday as the University of Hawaii beat San Francisco 4-1 on the mainland.

The 11-3 Rainbows took a 2-1 lead in the third inning as Isaac Omura drove in a run and scored on an error by the 4-12 Dons. Green had his solo shot in the eighth, and Brian Bock added an insurance run on a Don error in the ninth.

San Francisco scored its sole run in the first inning when Maui native Royce Fukuroku singled, stole a base and scored on an error. The Rainbows continue on to Fresno State to open Western Athletic Conference play with a three-game series that begins tomorrow.
