(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii baseball Rainbows fell to Coastal Carolina Wednesday night by a score of 8-5. Jeremiah Grove drove in two runs and Jeff Baker added a solo homer for the Chanticleers.
The Rainbows took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Rocky Russo's single drove in Brian Finegan. The Chanticleers tied it up in the second on Baker's homer. Hawaii went up 2-1 as Isaac Omura doubled to open the third and came home on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Sansaver. Grove's two-run single in the top of the sixth gave Coastal Carolina a 5-2 lead.
Russo and teammates Matthew Inouye and Shafter Magana drove in a run apiece in the eighth to end the scoring. The Rainbows defeated the Chanticleers 6-2 on Tuesday night. Hawaii opens a three-game Western Athletic Conference series against Nevada.
