(Tempe, Arizona-AP) -- The University of Hawaii fell to Arizona State 57-44 Thursday night in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament. The Rainbow Wahine ended their season at 16-14.
\The Sun Devils advanced to the second round to face Baylor. Hawaii trailed by four, 22-18, at intermission and then shot 28.1 percent in the second half, compared with Arizona State's 48 percent. For the game, the Rainbow Wahine made just 16 of their 51 shots from the field, while the Sun Devils were 20 of 57.
Jade Abele and Kim Willoughby led the Rainbow Wahine with eleven points apiece. Teammate Christen Roper added ten points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
