Bauer Leads Bows To Victory

(Honolulu-AP) -- Ricky Bauer pitched a complete game Tuesday night, allowing six hits and one run as Hawaii defeated Western Illinois 9-1 in the opening day of the Rainbow Eastern Tournament. Hawaii had a 5-0 lead by the time Western Illinois scored its only run in the sixth inning.

Tim Montgomery led the Rainbows with two hits in three at bats, including a solo homer in the seventh. Brian Finegan, Issac Omura and Josh Green had two hits each for Hawaii, which racked up 14 hits. In the earlier game, Lewis-Clark State defeated Air Force three-to-two.
