HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Oahu woman accused of making death threats against First Lady Michelle Obama doesn't appear to be mentally competent to stand trial at this time. That's what prosecutors revealed during a hearing at US District Court in Honolulu Tuesday.

Kristy Lee Roshia, 35, is being evaluated at a facility in Texas. Prosecutors and the defense are awaiting the official report from the doctor who was assigned to determine the suspect's mental fitness.

According to court documents, Roshia called the Secret Service office in Boston and threatened to kill Michelle Obama during the first family's vacation to Hawaii in December.

The fitness hearing will continue next week Wednesday.
