(Ruston, Louisiana-AP) -- Chris George pitched a complete game Saturday as the University of Hawaii beat Louisiana Tech 4-1 in the finale of their Western Athletic Conference baseball series.
The Rainbows improved to 19-19 overall and 2-13 in the WAC.
The Bulldogs dropped to 12-22-1 and 5-10.
George gave up four hits and two walks while striking out a career-high 12 batters.
The Rainbows scored all the runs they needed in the top of the first inning on Rocky Russo's two-run homer.
RBI sacrifice flies by Brian Bock in the fourth and Schafer Magana in the sixth put Hawaii up 4-0.
The Bulldogs got their sole run in the seventh on a home run by Wade Robinson.
Tech claimed the three-game series two games to one.
The Rainbows are scheduled to host the University of Hawaii-Hilo on Tuesday before opening a three-game WAC series against Fresno State on Friday.
