Porter Named First Team All-American

(Honolulu-AP) -- University of Hawaii softball player Stacey Porter has been named first team All-American by Louisville Slugger and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The first baseman from Australia set new school single-season records for home runs, doubles, walks and batting average.

Porter also broke UH career marks for homers (38) and walks (75). She plans to take next season off and return to Australia to play on the National Team in preparation for the 2004 Olympics.
