Angela Perez Baraquio Grey is a UH Manoa Graduate with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Educational Administration. She is now a 1st grade teacher at St. Anthony Claret School in California.
She worked as a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director at Holy Family Catholic Academy in Honolulu before being crowned Miss Hawaii 2000 and Miss America 2001. During her reign, Angela traveled 20,000 miles a month on a national speaking tour called, "Character in the Classroom: Teaching Values, Valuing Teachers". Today, her education platform remains close to her heart. She is the President/Founder of the Angela Perez Baraquio Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which promotes character education and provides scholarships and grants for teachers and students.
