(Honolulu-AP) -- The traditional Hawaiian music group Na Palapalai was the top winner with five awards at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards Wednesday night. The group was honored as group of the year and for Hawaiian album of the year, album of the year, best Hawaiian language performance, and best haku mele. Ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro won for instrumental of the year and was honored by public vote as entertainer of the year. Nathan Aweau was named male vocalist of the year and also won for song of the year, a composer's award. Raiatea Helm, was named the female vocalist of the year and the most promising artist. "Aloha" by the Mana`o Company was selected the single of the year.
