Voting’s A Breeze

I voted absentee at Windward Mall the other day, and boy was it easy, fast, and convenient. I showed up at 8am as the polling place opened, was welcomed by several friendly, helpful, on-site workers. I quickly went through the process of filling out an identification form, showing my driver's license, and going into the makeshift polling area to make my selections with the help of a nifty knob-like device.

If you have time or decide to make time in the next few days, I highly encourage you to take advantage of this easy method of voting. With the concern about the reduced number of voting places available this Saturday, it might make sense to find a polling place now near your home or work or wherever you may be in the next couple of days and take care of your civic responsibility early and quickly.

The entire procedure, from parking my car to walking out of the polling place, took less than 15-minutes. Granted, I got there early, but the point is that this opportunity has been set up to make things easier for you, to help you avoid any last-minute excuse-making come Saturday- the "I was just too busy" mantra. Be pro-active, know where the candidates stand before you head into the booth, and then find the most convenient place for you to vote and do it tomorrow. It's the easy thing to do, and it's the right thing to do. Think about it…
