(Honolulu-AP) -- The Hawaii Bowl apparently is losing its title sponsor. Executive Director Jim Donovan says he hasn't received official word but has been told that sponsorship by ConAgra Foods probably won't happen this year. He says ESPN Regional, which owns the game, is looking for a new title sponsor. But he says he was told the year-old game is not in danger.
Donovan says the pullout represents a loss of about half-a-million dollars in sponsorship. He says that was augmented with about 250,000 dollars in cash and trade from local sponsors.
When ConAgra's sponsorship was announced in 2002, it was called a three-year commitment. Donovan says he doesn't know why ConAgra pulled out.
