(Honolulu-AP) -- University of Hawaii women's basketball coach Vince Goo has decided to stay with the Rainbow Wahine for at least another year. The 56-year-old Goo had considered retirement after coaching the Rainbow Wahine for 16 season. But Goo says he decided to seek a one-year contract when his current five-year contract expires in August, and asses his options again after next season.
Goo has compiled a record of 326 wins against 146 losses since becoming coach in 1987. Under Goo's leadership, the Rainbow Wahine have played in five NCAA Tournaments and five WNIT Tournaments, including the last four. Every player who finished her eligibility at Hawaii has earned a degree.
