Kaimuki (KFVE) - It's a place that's only been around for about four years, but they've built up quite a following. On this week's Cheap Eats, Russ and Lyle take us to Kaimuki for some burritos. BC Burrito is literally a place where you can have it your way. It's at the top of the hill on Waialae Avenue, and at BC Burrito you choose the size and flavor of your burrito. And then they ask you to fill it with whatever you want.
The menu has it all – or almost all. There's even stuff that's not even on the menu, like the "Bowl-a-ritto," which is a burrito that comes in a bowl. There's also the Puffy Tacos, all for $2.
Then there's the Gutbuster. It's got everything but the kitchen sink. And BC Burrito also has an array of hot sauces to choose from. You've got everything from mild to "Oh man, my burrito's too hot!"
Prices for most items are in the $5 to $8 range. It's why folks line up every day to have it their way.
"It's the best in town," said Wendy Schofield-Ching from Waialae Kahala. "It's the vegetarian burrito with rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. You can get ranch on that. Sometimes they put potato on Wednesday's special. It's big, it's delicious and it's wonderful."
Big, delicious and wonderful about sums it up. Russ decides on the potato burrito and Lyle goes with the carne asada burrito, with a side of nachos for the table the guys are ready to dig in at BC Burrito, this week's Cheap Eats!
