Merrie Monarch Week: Day 2

HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Merrie Monarch Festival is an annual tradition that honors the legacy left by King David Kalaukaua. While hula is the star of the show, events leading up to the competition bring in lots of tourists and locals alike to Hilo.

Part 1: Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominee Kainani Kahaunaele

Musician Kainani Kahaunaele will perform live Friday, April 29 at the following venues:

10 a.m. - Sig Zane
12 p.m. - Craft fair at Civic Auditorium
2 p.m. - Merrie Monarch Festival office, Native Hawaiian art exhibit
