HONOLULU (KFVE) -- This week Lyle and Russ are at a place called Blazin' Steaks, but at the Atkinson location, steaks are just the beginning.
Steak varieties include, chopped steak, kim chee steak, and garlic steak pasta. While the traditional steak plate remains a popular choice, other menu items like the chicken pasta, garlic chicken or furikake ahi with wasabi aioli sauce are tasty alternatives.
"So what sets this Blazin' Steaks apart from the rest?" asks Russ.
"I think it's the level of consistency, the food quality, the cleanliness and the diversity of the menu," replies Keone Gaspar, owner of Blazin' Steaks Atkinson, we've taken the original formula and put a gourmet twist on it."
And it's the twist that keeps them coming in the door, that and all the great food coming off the grill. Blazin' Steaks Atkinson serves up food for breakfast and beyond.
Russ has the Kim Chee steak and Lyle has the prime rib loco moco. That's prime rib, over rice, with gravy and two eggs on top. That's how they kick it up at Blazin' Steaks Atkinson, this week's Cheap Eats.
