HONOLULU (KFVE) -- On this week's Cheap Eats, the guys head to Chinatown in search of affordable food. What they find, is incredible diversity.
Guy and Augie are at Maunakea Marketplace, and they offer a variety of cuisines including Filipino, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese to name a few. They each decide to pick a place and meet back in the middle in three minutes. Augie has Nestor's Filipino Fast Food that offers up a choice of three items for seven dollars. Augie has the egodo, with beef liver, dinuguan and fried akule. Guy, after an exhaustive search, ends up at Triple One Chinese, Singaporean, Malaysian food. He has the special duck shrimp char siu noodle for a mere five bucks. The dish includes char siu, shrimp and roast duck. That's how they do it down at Maunakea Marketplace, you'll find dishes like these and a whole lot more.
