Police have arrested a 24-year old man suspected of holding up a Mililani woman who was trying to sell her Ipad on Craigslist.
The 23-year old woman met the man at a Makaha home on Ikuone Place. According to police, Alika Caspino asked to see and try the device before handing over money. Police say when the woman let him use the Ipad, he allegedly pulled out a gun and took off.
Caspino was arrested later at a 7-11 store.
Police say the two may know each other.
Gregory Dunn of the Better Business Bureau says Craigslist users should never meet at a house unless they can bring a friend.
"That's particularly risky," says Dunn, "You want to be somewhere safe, out in the open."
The agency also issued a warning about a Craigslist scam involving the company, Easy Yard Sale. The BBB says it advertisers big-ticket items at bargain prices but buyers have to send money orders before the items can be shipped. The buyer never gets the items.
