Aaron Iyomasa's legacy - KFVE, K5-Hawaii News Now, Local Programming

Aaron Iyomasa's legacy

Long-time TV producer/director Aaron Iyomasa passed away last month, but his legacy lives on in memories of the years and years of work he did behind the scenes as a producer/director for some of Hawaii's most beloved local TV productions. As the quiet, dedicated man in charge, Aaron produced/directed over 1,000 University of Hawaii sports events that have aired on KHNL, KFVE, and Oceanic Time Warner Cable over the past 20+ years.

Aaron was also the man in control behind the curtain at the annual televised "Na Hoku Hanohano Awards Show" for the past decade. His long list of production/direction credits also includes "What's Cooking Hawaii", "Hot Hawaiian Nights", UH coach's shows and the annual "Merrie Monarch Festival". This concert is a loving tribute to Aaron from his friends in the media business, with all donations at the door going directly to his family to help cover medical costs incurred before his passing.
