Trump departs for Washington after short stop on Oahu

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (HawaiiNewsNow) -

President Trump has departed for Washington, D.C., following a brief layover on Oahu.

On Tuesday morning, Air Force One made a quick stop at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for refueling.

The President did not leave the base.

He visited Hawaii for the first time as president earlier this month, as he prepared to kick off his trip to Asia.

The whirlwind stopover caused major traffic disruptions between Waikiki and Pearl Harbor.
