Forecast: A cold front will bring wet weather this week

An approaching cold front has turned our winds southerly and that's bringing wet, humid, hazy conditions to our island state.

Showers are blanketing much of Oahu as we begin the day, but any island could see showers and heavy showers today. Flooding is certainly a possibility, so stay alert and stay safe.

The wet weather will continue for the foreseeable future. It may be the middle of next week before we see trade winds again.

So your Tuesday forecast calls for cloudy skies, showers that could at times be heavy, and a sticky high of 80 degrees in Honolulu.

Country surf is up a bit and will get even larger tonight and Wednesday, but will likely stay below advisory levels.

Today's waves will be 7-10 feet north, 4-7 feet west, 1-3 feet east, 2 feet or less south.

Flash Flood Watch for Niihau, Kauai, and Oahu.

Small Craft Advisory effective 6:00pm this evening for Kauai coastal waters.
