A weak cold front just to the east of the Big Island will creep slowly toward the northwest Monday, bringing scattered showers to the eastern half of the state into Tuesday. Meanwhile, a dry and cool airmass will remain over Kauai and Oahu, with just a few morning showers possible. Winds will be light, with temperatures below normal. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the summit areas of the Big Island until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Here's a head's up for the second half of the week, as a disturbance is set to develop to the west of the islands that will bring cloudy skies and scattered showers, with the potential for heavy showers and some thunderstorms, mainly for the western islands, Wednesday through Friday. We'll keep you posted.
