KONA, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The man killed in a boating accident over the weekend has been identified.

Hawaii Island police say 29-year-old Benjamin Keely of Hawaiian Acres was found Saturday morning in waters along the shoreline fronting the Kona Airport. Police say the boat Keely was in ran into the cliff.

Another man aboard, 48-year-old Gary Witt of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, encountered non-life threatening injuries in the incident.

Police did not immediately say what led to the accident.

An autopsy to determine the exact cause of Keely's death will be performed Wednesday.
