Honolulu, Oahu …Kama‘aina Kids is announcing its Third "Flavors by the Bay" Fundraiser scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm at He‘eia State Park. The evening will include food taste selections from local chefs including Executive Chef Wade Ueoka (MW Restaurant); Executive Chef Ronnie Nasuti (Tiki's Grill & Bar); Executive Corporate Chef Dennis Franks (Big City Diner); Chef de Cuisine Curt Nakamura (Koko Head Café); Executive Chef Norman Soderberg ( Nico's Pier 38 Kailua); Executive Chef Korey Kaleonui Kasparovitch (Pint + Jigger); Chef Sean Riodil (Heart to Table); Executive Chef Carlos Buhain (Prima); Naupaka Caterers Chef Buffy Owens, Brewmaster Steve Haumschild (Lanikai Brewing Company); live entertainment and a Silent Auction.
"Flavors by the Bay' will raise funds to build the He‘eia Learning Center, which will perpetuate Hawaiian culture and serve students, the community and visitors," said Ray Sanborn, President of Kama‘aina Kids. "The Center will be a gathering place to fulfill Kama‘aina Kids mission to serve children, families and our communities. I am personally enthusiastic about this event, because He‘eia State Park is where Kama‘aina Kids started its first summer program in 1987 and it feels like we are back home."
The Co-Chairs for the event are Kathy Hew, Executive VP Kama‘aina Kids and Jennifer Hew, Hotel Program Manager. Table sponsorships (parties of 8) cost range from $1,500 to $5,000. Individual tickets are $85 each and can be purchased through the Flavors By The Bay web site, https://kamaainakidsevents.com/tickets.
