Wahine Win In Dramatic Fashion

The 5th ranked Wahine took on 19th ranked Kansas State in the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Classic. And Hawaii had a rough time from the start.

Game one Tanya Nicolich gets stuffed from the three meter line. K-State would win the first and second games to take a 2-0 lead. But the Wahine pull it together in the third game.

Kim willoughby just rifles one down from the back row. Hawaii wins game three 30-24.

In the fourth Melody Eckmeier puts up the wall for another point. The Wahine go on to win game four.

And in the final frame the Wahine smash Kansas State 15-8. Hawaii comes back from being down two games to zero to win it 3-2.

The Wahine have lost just two home openers in their 27 year history. Friday night they picked up the first win of the season.
