The Rainbow Wahine dropped their fourth game to a nationally ranked opponent after being swept by USC 17-30, 19-30, 31-33. USC came out fast, dominating the Wahine in the first two games. The Trojans committed only three hitting errors in the first two games.
The Trojans continued their dominance through the first half of the third game and looked to make quick work of the Wahine until Maja Gustin reeled of six kills and tied the game at 27. The Wahine took a 30-29 lead but couldn't hold on and the Trojans took the game 33-31.
Keao Burdine was named Player of the Game for USC by putting down 15 kills, hitting .375 and adding four blocks. Maja Gustin was the Player of the Game for the Wahine with her strong game three performance. She ended the match with 15 kills and six blocks. Kim Willloughby posted another strong match by leading both teams with 21 kills and 18 digs.
