Hawai'i football coach June Jones says there's a chance quarterback Timmy Chang will start in this weekend's home game against Texas el Paso. Chang hasn't played since injuring his wrist last month in the Warriors' 27-to-24 loss to Rice.
Jones told a news conference Monday morning that if Chang practices Thursday or Friday, then he'll start in Saturday's game at Aloha Stadium. If Chang doesn't practice, then it's Nick Rolovich, who helped the Warriors to a 38-to-31 overtime victory over Southern Methodist in Dallas over the weekend.
Jones said he's pleased with the team's performance in Texas, and especially Rolovich, who threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Tafiti Uso to win the game. Jones said he's also pleased with the team's defense, but said for this weekend that the Warriors are going to have to make some plays to beat UTEP.
