Sharla Hofmann was born and raised on the north shore of Oahu, next to the beautiful beaches and rolling surf. Born with a passion to perform, Sharla started dancing hula professionally in Waikiki at the age of 13. Being fortunate enough to travel while performing and even went on to own and operate an international dance school.
Sharla soon ventured out of the dancing realm in an effort to pursue her career in the airlines industry as a Flight Attendant. With 20 years of flying under her belt, Sharla soared into management as a Flight Attendant Trainer, teaching up and coming Flight Attendants what they needed to know to succeed in the industry.
Sharla was always conscious about her health and keeping in top shape. As a dancer, it was very necessary for her to stay in the best shape ever. While doing this, Sharla found a passion for teaching aerobics and went on to become a certified personal trainer and starting her own business called "Get Fit". Soon after, Sharla found her self teaming up with her husband, Michael Hofmann, to start the Get Fit Hawaii Television Show.
Sharla says "I always enjoy my workouts - it is definitely a lifestyle for me. I cannot go a day without doing something! It's like brushing my teeth in the morning when I wake up. It is just something I love to do. What a way to start your day - a cup of hot green tea and an awesome workout!"
Sharla is just as committed to nutrition and eating healthy as she is with keeping in top shape. For those who know Sharla, many wonder how Sharla can be so disciplined and stick to her diet. Sharla says "F.T.M - Feed The Machine... I don't eat to get full, I eat to get fueled!"
With the discipline to eat well, and the determination to get fit, Sharla went on to compete in several figure and body building competitions. With a competition career spanning 10 years, Sharla had her share of wins and losses, becoming the Hawaii State Fitness champion, Paradise Cup Women's Bodybuilding, Light Weight Champion and Ms. Physical Fit, just to name a few. Sharla has also done local T.V. as an actress and extra, as well as appearing in several national muscle and surfer magazines.
Sharla's motto is -- "Lifestyle coach... staying focused - getting stronger, step by step in spirit, mind & body, encouraging you to make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle and being rewarded with results!"
Sharla says "having a TV show with my wonderful husband is definitely a blessing - I am grateful for everything. I plan to live a long and healthy life - watch out people, look out for Shar, even at the age of 90!!"
