(Honolulu-AP) -- Jeff Probst had four hits in five at-bats, driving in three runs as Number Two Florida State defeated the University of Hawaii 8-5 last night in the second game of their four-game baseball series.
Probst had an RBI double in the third inning to give the Seminoles a 4-0 lead. Earlier in the inning, Tony McQuade had a run-scoring single.
Florida State jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second on RBI singles by Kevin Richmond and Stephen Drew.
Brent Cook drove in two runs for Hawaii, which is now 1-1. Rainbows starter Ricky Bauer took the loss. The freshman out of Mid-Pacific Institute gave up four earned runs on eight hits while striking out four before being pulled in the third inning.
