Seminoles Finish Off Bows, Winning 3 of 4 In Series

(Honolulu-AP) -- Nick Rogers drove in six runs for Florida State as the second-ranked Seminoles beat the University of Hawaii 12-1 today to claim the baseball series three games to one.

FSU took a 5-0 lead in top of the first inning on Rogers' three-run homer and a two-run single by Kevin Richmond. Rogers' three-run double was part of a six-run eighth inning that also saw a two-run double by Tony Richie and an RBI single by Bryan Zech.

Tony McQuade had a solo homer for Florida State in the fifth. Hawaii got its lone run in the bottom of the fifth when Brian Bock scored on a sacrifice fly by Danny Mocny.
