Savo's Career High Performance Earns Him WAC Player of the Week Honors

The Warrior basketball team is scorching hot. The Bows have won 4 straight and 13 of it's last 14 games and leading charge Hawaii senior, Predrag Savovic.

Savo was named as the WAC player of the week. That's after the 6-6 shooting guard popped home a career high 32 points as the Bows beat up UTEP by 15 last Saturday night, 75-60.

Savo also with 20 in a Thursday UH win over Boise State. Savo's leading Hawaii in scoring in 11 of the 15 games he's played this season.

The basketball Bows, not making too much noise in the national polls, but they're still a big topic of conversation.'s Joe Lunardi has a mock NCAA bracket that he updates week-to-week. This week, he has Hawaii as the 9th seed in the west region in a first round game with Southern Cal in the big dance.

In the AP poll, Hawaii slowly but surely making a move. The Bows now 32nd in the AP poll. And how about them lucky dogs, the Georgia Bulldogs lost to Hawaii in December. Lost to unranked South Carolina last week, still ranked 17. Duke, Kansas and Maryland make up the top 3.
