Hawaii Comes Back To Sweep The Beach

(Honolulu-AP) -- The Number Three University of Hawaii men's volleyball team beat 12th-ranked Long Beach State last night, avenging a loss to the 49ers earlier in the week.

Costas Theocharidis led the Rainbow Warriors with 12 kills and two service aces. Eyal Zimet added ten kills, and Jose Delgado had five digs. Nicholas Marbach had 17 kills for Long Beach State.

The victory boosted Hawaii's overall record to 10-and-3. The Rainbow Warriors are now 7-and-1 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play. The 49ers dropped to 7-and-9 and 5-and-5. U-H fell to Long Beach State on Wednesday night in four games.
