The Cougars took a 3-0 lead on Matt Carson's RBI single in the first inning and his two-run homer in the third. Ranger Wiens drove in the winning run in the top of the ninth.

The Rainbows loaded the bases in the fourth, fifth and seventh, but managed to score just one run in each of the innings. The loss went to reliever Sean Yamashita.
