Hawaii Opens Road Stand With 79-69 Loss To Nevada

The Hawaii men's basketball team was hoping to come off of this weekend's road trip with two victories, a top seed for the WAC tournament and an improved chance of making the NCAA tournament. Well, a 10 point loss to the Wolfpack of Nevada on Thursday night, will set the Bows back in their run for the title and NCAA bid.

Sophomore Carl English led the Bows with 16 points. Phil Martin added 14. Warrior guard Predrag Savovic had to leave the game with back spasms.

The Bows fall to 25-3 overall and 14-3 in WAC play.

The Wolfpack improves to 16-11 overall and 9-8 in WAC play.

Hawaii now heads to Fresno State to face the Bulldogs on Saturday night. You can catch that game live on the 5 and on k5thehometeam.com at 5 p.m.
