The Bows trailed by as many as nine in the first half, playing catch up most of the way.
With the score tied at 29 heading into halftime, the Golden Hurricane came out shooting blanks, scoring only four points for the first ten minutes of the second half. Hawaii found its rhythm and opened up a 16 point lead in the middle of the second half.
After it seemed the Bows had it locked up, the Golden Hurricane made a 17-9 run in five minutes to come within three.
But the Bows held on and finished Tulsa off with a 14 point victory, 73-59.
