After winning a share of the WAC regular season title and winning the WAC tournament title over Tulsa, 73-59, the Rainbows earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Today, the selection committee made its announcement and it wasn't a question of if the Bows would make it, but where and who would the Bows face.
All questions were answered as the West region was announced. Hawaii is headed south, to Dallas, Texas, to face the Atlantic 10 Champion, Xavier, on Friday.
The Musketeers won the A-10 regular season, two games ahead of the rest of the field and won the A-10 tourney with a 73-60 victory over Richmond. They are 25-5 overall and 14-2 in conference play.
Hawaii finished the season at 27-5 overall and 15-3 in WAC play.
Should Hawaii get past Xavier, they would face the winner of Oklahoma and Illinois-Chicago.
