(Honolulu-AP) -- The third-ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team stopped a two-match skid last night with a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation victory over Number 13 U-C Irvine.
Playing at home for the first time in more than month, the Rainbow Warriors downed the Anteaters 30-28, 30-23, 30-18. Costas Theocharidis led UH with 16 kills. Eyal Zimet added ten kills, and Delano Thomas had four of Hawaii's six service aces.
Jarett Jensen had 16 kills for U-C-Irvine. Three other Anteaters followed with five kills apiece.
UH improve to 16-and-6 on the season and 13-and-4 in the MPSF. UC Irvine dropped to 11-and-13 and 5-and-12.
