Baseball Bows Gain First Road Victory

(Ruston, Louisiana-AP) -- The University of Hawaii baseball Rainbows downed Louisiana Tech 6-4 on Saturday on the mainland in the opener of their three-game Western Athletic Conference series.

Chris George pitched a complete game and Gregg Omori had a three-run homer for the Rainbows. The Bulldogs went head 4-3 in the fifth inning on a grand slam by Brandon Haygood.

After Omori's homer in the top of the seventh, George retired the last nine batters to secure the victory. The 'Bows took a 3-0 lead in the third on an R-B-I single by Lane Nogawa and a two-run double by Scooter Martinez.
